CCJ Publisher Rick Alan Rice dissects
the building of America in a trilogy of novels
collectively calledATWOOD. Book One explores
the development of the American West through the
lens of public policy, land planning, municipal
development, and governance as it played out in one
of the new counties of Kansas in the latter half of
the 19th Century. The novel focuses on the religious
and cultural traditions that imbued the American
Midwest with a special character that continues to
have a profound effect on American politics to this
day. Book One creates an understanding about
America's cultural foundations that is further
explored in books two and three that further trace
the historical-cultural-spiritual development of one
isolated county on the Great Plains that stands as
an icon in the development of a certain brand of
American character. That's the serious stuff viewed
from high altitude. The story itself gets down and
dirty with the supernatural, which inATWOOD

outfall of misfires in human interactions, from the
monumental to the sublime.The
book features the epic poem"The
Toiler"as
well as artwork by New Mexico artist Richard
Padilla.

Novel
I am offering another
novel through Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing service.
Cooksin is the story of a criminal syndicate that sets its
sights on a ranching/farming community in Weld County, Colorado,
1950. The perpetrators of the criminal enterprise steal farm
equipment, slaughter cattle, and rob the personal property of
individuals whose assets have been inventoried in advance and
distributed through a vast system of illegal commerce.
It is a ripping good yarn, filled
with suspense and intrigue. This was designed intentionally to
pay homage to the type of creative works being produced in 1950,
when the story is set. Richard Padilla
has done his usually brilliant work in capturing the look and feel of
a certain type of crime fiction being produced in that era. The
whole thing has the feel of those black & white films you see on
Turner Movie Classics, and the writing will remind you a little
of Elmore Leonard, whose earliest works were westerns.

On Being David
Icke
It may be that one of the
problems with being out of your mind is knowing that, basically,
you have things right.
By RAR
Sometimes I try to put myself in the
mind of David Icke.
I imagine that I am a former
professional football player turned broadcast personality – Icke
did BBC sports commentary following his brief soccer career in
Britain, cut short by arthritis – and then one day I hear this
woman tell this story about attending functions where the
British Royal family turned into 7-foot tall reptilian creatures
and ate the flesh and drank the blood of human sacrificial
victims. And I observe the earnestness with which the woman
tells the story, and it crosses my mind that reptiles have
figured into the creation myths of a lot of the world’s
cultures, and as a young person I did hear these wild stories
that former Prime Ministers Ted Heath and Harold Wilson were
both a part of a cult that sacrificed human children. And then
other people hear that I am entertaining such stories, and they
tell me about their weird experiences where someone they were
talking with had, just for a flash of a moment, appeared
reptilian, and I start to think that maybe this is all real.
I imagine that moment when I, as
David Icke, stand before a press conference and explain that a
psychic has told me that I am a “Godhead” sent to earth to heal
people. Imagine later when the British press reads my book
asserting that the royal family is, in fact, a group of
reptilian creatures, part of a long-established “Illuminati”
that have placed their own kind in positions of power and
managed the planet earth for thousands of years.
I would have to be pretty convinced
of my story to make myself the size of target for derision that
David Icke has; to trade in the golden career of a sports star
and broadcast celebrity for a place on the Argosy tales lecture
circuit, which is where Icke has gone. He now does 8-hour long
presentations on his reptilian conspiracy story, which focus on
factoids supporting various of his assertions. Of the 44 U.S.
Presidents (only 43 people, as Grover Cleveland held two
non-consecutive terms), 33 of them trace their bloodline to
Charlemagne, the King of the Franks from 768, and 19 of those
can also claim a blood connection to English King Alfred the
Great (King of Wessex, 871 to 899). According to Burke’s
Peerage, the “bible of genealogy”, Prince Charles has 2,000
blood connections to Alfred. There is a study that shows that
every single election for the office of president of the United
States has been won by the candidate with the greatest genetic
connection to European royalty. As David Icke, I know that
attributions for these studies are not required, because
mainstream academics discount, as mere pseudo-science,
everything outside of the script that they have been taught to
read anyway, so engaging through the mainstream is futile. The
mainstream academic and media sectors are all part of the great
secret about humankind, the horrible truth. We are slaves living
in an alien network where all that we see and respond to is
limited by the parameters of the program that has been created
to control us.
Actually, it is more than control,
they are feeding on us. They draw energy from our fear and they
draw sustenance from our flesh and blood. They are vampires and
flesh eaters. They are the reason behind all of man’s foolish
wars and acts of carnage. War feeds and further empowers them.
Because I, in my fantasy, am David
Icke, I run across people who have become privileged to these
same facts, and I have learned that some have somehow discovered
that the alien network, this grid of control, stretches all the
way to Mars. It may be generated from the Earth’s Moon, which as
David Icke I believe to be a hollow space station constructed
for this purpose; a sort of death star.
They are the Annunaki, fourth
dimensional “fallen angels” who were sent by a race from the
star system Draco to serve as “Watchers” over the development of
humankind. Their lust for earth’s females created a genetically
defective race of people, the Nephilim of the Old Testament, who
were the target of the Great Flood, which was intended to leave
only the last pure DNA remaining in the person of Noah, and his
family, so that the population of the planet could be rebooted
afresh. The Annunaki were literally cast down from heaven, and
so would become associated with the story of the fallen angel
Satan, and some went underground on earth to continue their
agenda to advance a controlling hybrid race, while others
traveled the universe to extend control over other worlds. They
are fourth dimensional beings, which I, as David Icke, associate
with the chakras within the human energy framework. They are
mid-level energy, only just above the grunt-level energy that
humans primarily live at. We are on different frequencies, and
this is why the Annunaki are able to shield their reptilian form
by portraying a human form in our dimension. Maintaining the
deception, the image, is a lot of work for them and sometimes
they slip and briefly reveal themselves. Their eyes are
lizard-like, with vertical slits for pupils, and when they feed,
which they do in ritual ceremonies, they must do so in their
native form, as large reptilians that have no empathy for their
human victims.
As David Icke, I am on a mission to
stop them. There is one way to weaken the power of the
Annunaki’s grid and that is to question why we do the things we
do; or, as the promotional catch phrase for The Science Channel
goes, “Question everything”. Why do we accept the conflict we
have in the world? As David Icke, I have come to believe that
there are no institutions that can be trusted. In fact, there is
only one force in the universe on which you can place your
faith, and that is the purifying force of love. Filter all of
your decisions in life through that force and you destroy the
influence of the alien grid, and you start to reveal them for
what they are.
Is that crazy? Or is that simply a
story of religion, familiar to us, told in another of the
metaphorical ways that we find fault with in the Bible and the
Quaran?
Nostradamus in the 1990s?
The Left Brain Conspiracy
The thing about David Icke is that there
are things that he says, and has written about, that seem to
hold together. Key among these is his perception of how our brain
functions are used to control our experience with living.
Human beings are almost universally
educated to advance through the learning process by feeding
back, on demand, the exact information that they have been
instructed to regurgitate. That is completely a left-brain
function, constrained by the nature of its operators. We take
this model from our education-based youth into our adult lives,
and there live under the same formula, spitting out standard
responses to requests we have likely experienced before. The
right brain hardly exists in any functional way in so many of
our prosaic mental transactions. To the David Ickes of the
world, this is really just programming, a form of mind control
that the forces of the Illuminati use to manage our behaviors as
humans. To let the right-brain play a larger role would lead to
insurrection against established norms, the way that education
tends to yield dissatisfaction in a society.
On the other hand, what is our left
brain keeping each of us from experiencing?
That question is answered with
tremendous impact in the video below, which features a TED talk
in which a brain researcher details the insights gained from
having a stroke that turned her left brain off for periods of
time, and allowed her to experience the nature of the right
hemisphere of her brain. HINT: The insight is that our left
brain sees itself in a world alone, while the right brain
perceives that we are all together, seamlessly connected to the
energies of the universe.
This is more or less at the heart of what David Icke has been
teaching, in his 8-hour lectures. We are imprisoned. He is
pretty sure it is being done by a reptilian race broadcasting
signals from our hollow moon, but however it is happening it
does seem real. The TED talk below may indicate that there may
be a way to make our experience of life much better. David
Icke makes the introduction of Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor. You can
jump to the 2:20 mark of the video to avoid Icke's
interpretation of what she talks about in the following
20-minute talk. It is well worth viewing.-

What Does David Icke Have to do
with a Creative Culture?
To the extent that
David Icke is a guy who
believes the human race is under the control of a 4th
dimensional reptilian race from the Draco star system, Icke
probably has everything to do with pop culture. He provides
extraordinarily imaginative, entertaining explanations for
why we human beings experience life as we do. In that, he is
rather like L. Ron Hubbard,
minus the big organizational framework that ties its
adherents to lie detector machines. Icke isn't selling
process so much as he is selling inspiration, and in that he
is much more of a traditional preacher.
Both Icke and Scientology use
science fiction narratives to explain their existences. In
fact, so do all organized religions. And both are selling
release from those bonds that prevent people from
experiencing their full human potential. In that both sci-fi
ministries are part of the New Age movement.
The big difference is that
Scientology purports to help people rid themselves of the
baggage they carry from all of their past lives. There is a
sort of ongoing exorcism of the "Thetans" associated with
past actions. Icke does not blame people of anything, but
instead seeks to unshackle them from a slavery that, through
trickery, has become self-imposed.
There is no creativity
without ridding one's self of those attitudes that shackle
our imaginations. David Icke kind of fires mine.
